Keylime Bistro in Captiva Island

Visited here on vacation and they legitimately have the best key lime pie and pie options! Live music at night time was awesome and everyone was super friendly.

Live music. Outdoor seating. Great service. Best drink of any restaurant we visited on the island. Key lime pie is cheese cake style. Very rich, creamy, awesome. Huge serving of calamari. Bacon wrapped scallops were delicious.

Keylime Bistro has it all! Ambiance, Service, Great food and tonight...great entertainment! We will be back. Mostly seafood, but enough on the menu to indulge a non-seafood diet too!

Extremely disappointing experience. Most staff not wearing masks at all or masks around necks which makes them pointless. Food was edible. Better food at South Seas pool. It’s usually our favorite place to eat in Captiva and we were excited to get back here and support. Owners need to step up the quality of food and service and ensure people feel safe eating here.

Love me this place, food is always fresh, and delicious. We always eat here when visiting Captiva, I always get the fish. It's a short golf ride away from resort. Staff is on point, we showed up last minute ask for seating for 30, they didn't flinch set it up in 5 minutes. Food was fantastic and service was legit, but their Key lime cheesecake pie thing is the bomb 💣... The Bomb...

My wife and I went here only for dessert. We sat outside on a beautiful night. They have a somewhat tiki bar setup with live music but I was there for the key lime pie! I got the key lime pie and my wife got an insane chocolate dessert. The key lime pie was better than average but not the best I had on our trip to Sanibel/Captiva. They serve it with an overpowering sauce and a ton of whipped cream. My wife said her chocolate dessert was one of the best things she's ever had.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! One of the worst “bistros” I have ever stepped foot in. I had to send my salad back as the snapper smelled horrible. Their refrigerator must not be working. Crab wontons-terrible. The burger my son and husband ate. Overall, don’t go! Huge disappointment and they should change bistro from their name. More like basic bar! With little mask wearing.

Amazing Bloody Mary, worth every dollar. Menu prices reasonable. Several different types eggs Benedict that looked amazing. We had salads, both the seafood and the regular were large and tasty.

Food was great! Loved the live music.

The third restaurant we've eaten at and the best one so far. It's the only one so far I would go back to. The cocanut shrimp is not only delicious but plentiful. My wife hasn't stopped talking about her seafood rosoto. Stave was friendly and service was great.

Fantastic food with great atmosphere. It's a bit hard to decide on what to try, but it's hard to go wrong. The island offerings have a distinct Spanish/Mediterranean bent that is very refreshing. The bar's strength is wine and cocktails, the beer list is adequate but basic. The live music is very nice, and by about 7:30, you might even the cougar brigade lighting up the dance floor to a jazz flute version of "Blurred Lines". Honestly, some of the best desserts around.

Fun beachy atmosphere. Amazing fresh tasting seafood. Really delicious drinks, what more can you ask for?

Allways great food on the Outdoor Patio with Live Music many nights in peak season. We sat at the inside Bar tonight, Charles the bartender was great. Awesome beverages and Key Line pie that deserves to have a bistro named for it.

Great getaway! The food is very good and well portioned. This is one of our favorite destinations on the weekend when we can get away. I posted some pics, the food isn’t green, we were outside and that was the color hue as the sun was shining down over the patio umbrellas. My wife is not a fan of “Anyone’s” key lime pie, but loves the Key lime pie served here. The grilled snapper sandwich is delicious and the fries are amazing.

Ok for lunch, busy but cute area of Captiva. Parking could be a problem evening. Our group had grouper sandwich or grilled chicken- good on excellent bread. Comes w coleslaw and some thin pieces fresh fruit. Good waiter, lovely to eat outside. Downside: needs some good scrubbing and cleaning up inside, especially bathroom paint, floors etc. wall light switches dirty gray (supposed to be white), trim, walls, floors just.. well dirty... :-(. I get it that it is a “beachy” place, but ugh, and hope kitchen is kept cleaner... good thing I went inside AFTER we ate.

So good! Stopped by after reading some good reviews online and we were pleasantly surprised! I tried the eggs Benedict and it was fabulous. The key lime hollandaise was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. We came back for lunch and dinner and the food was just as good. Best restaurant on the island that we were able to find. And oh my word, the key lime pie is killer. Definitely give them a try!

Stopped by for drinks last night. Live music from Face2Face, mellow and soothing.. My wife and I had alot of fun.We ate dinner there two nights ago. Food was excellent!!!

This place is perfect. Fresh coffee and very good refreshing orange juice. Delicious food. Generous plates. Menu is essential and complete for breakfast. Absolutly excelent attention and service! That's Florida!

This was recommended by our awesome waitress at the SOB the night before. The venue is small, offers live solo musicians. The food was awesome, wasn't that hungry and it was a little before lunch. Tried the ship to shore, awesome!, then the Seafood Antipasto. Wow! Then to top it off, their Signature Key Lime pie which was voted #1 back in 2012. Absolutely delicious. Get there if you can! Thanks Kara for the recommendation. You were right!

Loved all the food and drinks!!! Salmon Oscar, Rice, Asparagus, with a Keylime Mrtini 😋....David the singer was absolutely Awesome and Patty our server was great!! The guy that greeted us and sat us was very nice and friendly, and the guy that was very understanding about our key lime pie mix up, was so kind, hard working and understanding!!! He was a very hard worker and ran his butt off the whole time we were there!!! Thank you everyone for a great time👍. We will return!!! This place is the spot for good food, service, and entertainment❤

We went to enjoy the desserts. My husband had the turtle cheesecake and he said it was fine. The key lime pie is maybe the best I've had. It was wonderful. The pieces were large so we should have shared. We also had appetizers which were good. The hostess put us in about the worst seat on the patio but aside of that it was worth.the drive!

Great Florida-American cuisine. Cocktails are alright and lunch food is simple but decent. Live music often, which is awesome. Open concept with lots of patio seating. Beware the prices, as high marked sandwiches and entrees are not actually high-quality comperitively. rather a product of a location nestled in between high-end luxury rental houses. bread is frozen buy-out as well as the fries. Not normally a negative but is in this instance due to the prices.maybe the prices keep the folks with kids away? if that's the case I'd change this review to a 5 star 😎

We went here last year for desert when we were on Sanibel and it was excellent. This year we went with the whole family at 4:30, which was at the end of lunch (dinner menu not served until 5pm). Macho Nachos were just so-so. Chips didn't have much cheese on them, and ground beef was dumped on top of that so it was impossible to eat without meat falling everywhere. Key lime pie wasn't nearly as tart as usual. Flies were everywhere and landing in our did you and drinks.

While we did enjoy our meals here, there were some things which made me deduct one star. You may end up being disappointed if you only go by the current 4.5 star rating.Our meals ranged from okay to good. Nothing was necessarily bad, and one of the meals was actually excellent (shrimp scampi), but most meals were merely mediocre. So in total, the food is passable to good but not exceptional. The stuffed grouper special, keylime pasta, risotto, and crab cakes, were all kind of disappointing. The nachos, coconut shrimp and bouillabaisse were pretty good.Additionally, the cleanliness didn't really match the prices of the food ($20+), with the tables being a bit worn down and the bathrooms being pretty dirty and fly-ridden to be honest.On the plus-side, the staff was very attentive and we got free cheese and crackers as an "appetizer".

Normally outstanding. We were treated like a bother by our waitress. She did not clearly speak. Rude, practically threw our food at us. NEVER checked on us. She ruined my birthday brunch. When paying the bill, my friend at far end of table her credit card was not even returned to her. Left at the farthest corner of the table out of her reach. I wish we had the waiter, he talked to his customers and checked on them. He cared.

Key lime sublime pie! This is the place on captiva island to go to! Their daily fresh fish will make you want to eat here every day. Oh did I mention the fresh brewed coffee....forget Starbucks!

Fun little bar a block away from the ocean. Just grabbed a couple appetizers and cocktails. Some kind of spring rolls and calamari. Good choices. Calamari was excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back and get more than apps.

Got married on the beach and reserved a table for our small group of 12. Had an amazing dinner with a dedicated waitress, got key lime pie as a wedding cake and danced outside to the singer in the patio. They really took care of our every need. We picked the perfect spot to build some great memories.Thank you Key Lime!

I have personally never left a review so low for anyone. I am solely rating the service, not the food. We were completely ignored for the whole experience. During this whole time, there was one other family dining. My wife and I stood in the sun for 5 minutes until we finally seated our selves. I tried explaining to the waitress that we got hot standing and seated ourselves. I was left with no response. 20 minutes later, we are finally helped. I ordered a mojito and a water. The mojito never came. 10 minutes later, our waters were brought to us. Not knowing that the restaurant is doing “touchless menus,” because we were never told. 10 minutes after that I explained to her that I was either needing my check (for the mojito I never received,) I was met with rolled eyes. Being a business owner myself, I hope the owner sees this, because surely he or she has no idea what is going on. Approx. 1:50 P.M. 07/02/2020

very good place, great atmosphere. A little bit old and worn down, but it adds to the charm. A nice little spot right in downtown Captiva, enjoys some good food here and some fine drinks before setting out towards the beach. They have a little bit in the way of gluten-free options, but they do serve amazing bloody Marys.

Best eggs benny ever!

Really yummy food and they arent lying, their key lime pie is the best. Absolute best key lime pie i have ever had. Their service was ok and their frozen drinks were too, but a little too slow even though it wasnt busy when we went and much too sweet with little alcohol, respectively. Get their grouper sandwich blackened and definitely splurge on the fries, they sre worth it. The sauce for the seafood apasta was oh so good. Their kids burger was a generous portion and the grilled chicken sandwich was good too.

Our waitress was very friendly and services was wonderful. Delicious food. Definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant!

We made the short drive up from Sanibel as this place came recommended from others. There is both indoor and outdoor seating with lots of fans going to keep it nice and cool. The inside was nice but could have been a bit cleaner. Everyone really enjoyed their food with the exception of myself. I didn't care for the lime flavor in the crab benedict but I get the theme and why it's offered. The seasoning on the breakfast potatoes was off as well, but again, probably just a personal preference. We ordered the nacho appetizer and it was huge and delicious! The key lime pie is a MUST as well.

Love the food here. Best key lime pie in Florida in my opinion. Staff and social distancing are well under control here.

My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere and food at the Keylime Bistro. We had the steak tip sandwich and grouper sandwich. Both were delicious, but the grouper was the ultimate winner. We tried a piece of the key lime pie, and ended up buying a whole pie to take home. It's not the tangiest pie, but we kind of like it a little more mild and loved this key lime pie. The negative points: Parking is a challenge. Our service was a bit slow. Overall, still a 5 star experience.

Shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes for service

This is an amazingly wonderful place to eat on Captiva. The coconut shrimp are supposedly fried, but they are so light and delicious. The Walnut encrusted snapper is decadent.

Right in the middle of Captiva. Right in the heart of what is happening is this little establishment. So quaint and so inviting. But needing of that little touch of hospitality that would make it the place to be in Captiva. The food is good and the drinks are good but the service and the atmosphere needs that little humph to make it more. A little bit of extra would set it apart. Keep on Keylime Bistro. You got the secret sauce.

Good place. Food was delicious, and it is just a few steps from the beach.

Absolutely horrible! The food was disgusting and service was terrible! We should have left when we saw 2 other couples get up and walk out without ordering! Such a shame! A $50 bill for food that wasn’t worth feeding to the birds!

I love it here! Food great service great! Katie was awesome. Make sure you try grouper sandwich a d also the key lime pie which is made every day! Omg delicious. The grouper was caught that morning! I will be back!

Went for desert fast service and great atmosphere

It was a great find for a good dinner. we were pressured into going there because most things were closed that particular night because of the super bowl. Service was mediocre. There was hardly anybody there which made no sense at all. Everything was a little bit overcooked but the flavor was great. It's too bad that it was a little overcooked because I do think that we would have enjoyed our dinner a lot more. It's a very casual environment with decent food.If my review helped, please give me a like! 😀👍

Good breakfast, reasonably priced. Fun beachy decor with cozy atmosphere and nice islandy outside seating. Fun scene at night with live music. Fun place.
